Justin served in the GA National Guard from 2007 to 2013. Originally enlisted as MOS 35F military intelligence analyst and later as a 2ndLieutenant. Justin attended Georgia Military College from February 2009 until March 2011 where he commissioned into the GA National Guard with an Associates Degree in General studies. He then attended North Georgia College and State University (Later Named the University of North Georgia) and earned his Bachelors of Arts in History. In September of 2013 he entered active duty as an ordnance officer and served at Fort Hood with the 1stbattalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment as the battalion maintenance officer, maintenance platoon leader, maintenance company executive officer, and battalion S-4. He deployed with the 1-44th ADA BN on two separate deployments before leaving to attend the logistics captain’s career course. After completing the logistics captain’s career course he was assigned to the 75th Field Artillery Brigade at Fort Sill. He served there in the 100thBrigade Support Battalion as the Operations Officer within the Support Operations Section and later took command of the 578th Forward Support Company assigned to the 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment. His final assignment was as the 75th Field Artillery Brigade assistant S-4. He left active duty in September 2020 and returned to his home town of Canton, GA.
